nature baby.

March 18, 2012

I’m really fortunate. I have an excellent neighbour, who just so happened to have a baby a couple months before I did. A little guy. He’s super cute and Jack and I are pretty lucky to get to hang out with them a couple days per week! We always try to plan outings, even if it’s just a walk to Starbucks or to walk to get groceries. It’s been pretty awesome, and I hope we can be friends for a long time, and that our kids can be pals too.

I’ve always loved natural things, but I’m not very educated on how to mix ingredients together to make natural products. Thankfully, Talia has a little experience in this area, and has been making her own diaper “cream” since her guy was a new baby. Today we had some free time and decided to get together and make some!

With four simple ingredients, voila. Diaper cream. The best thing is you know what’s in it, and you can pronounce all of the ingredients! Beeswax from my Grandpa’s bees (Gerry’s Bees have nothing on Burt’s), castor oil, essential oil (we used lavender), and vitamin e. Pretty sweet, eh? It smells divine while you’re making it, and divine when you’re using it!
