Oh my god you guys, little Jack is a new man.  I can’t even believe the differences, and despite his awful cold, he’s been so happy the last five days!Since our diagnosis has been confirmed, we’ve all been smiling!  Turns out the boy has ‘silent reflux’, which is basically reflux, but really painful and with no barf.  We’ve kept him at a 45 degree angle and he’s as happy as a clam.  (Are clams really happy?  Such a weird saying!)  It’s amazing how much time babies actually spend on their backs, and completely horizontal.  Poor thing.  I feel so bad for him.  Our doctor explained that it will pass once his ‘sphincter is more mature.’  (I hope you’re all laughing, because mature sphincter sure makes me laugh.  Yup.  A sphincter says what?  what?)  Hopefully the sphinct just matures right up and he can be reunited with horizontal living.  But for now, we’ll take his upright happiness!

I love him so much.  Here’s a little before and after:

Hallelujah! It’s a good thing you’re so smart and didn’t just let it go on and on and on…….
